Help Us with our Capital Campaign

The Labor of Love food pantry has been a vital lifeline for families in the Greater
Eastport area since 2006. Every month, we serve between 200 and 300
households—neighbors facing food insecurity and hardship. As the need grows rapidly
due to federal cutbacks in food assistance programs, our facility is stretched beyond its
limits.

To continue meeting the needs of our community, we are expanding our pantry. This
project will add much-needed storage space, modern refrigeration, and equipment,
allowing us to offer a broader range of healthy choices tailored to each household. With
these improvements, we can ensure food assistance goes where it is needed
most—and in ways that make a real difference.

Thanks to generous support from the USDA Rural Development, Good Shepherd Food
Bank, the Bill and Joan Alfond Family Foundation, and the Greater Eastport Ecumenical
Churches Association (GEECA), our first phase is underway. However, the total cost of
construction and upgrades is $461,458, and we need your help to reach our goal.

We are initiating a CAPITAL Campaign to help us meet this goal. Please consider
making a tax-deductible contribution today. Every dollar brings us closer to a future
where no one in our community has to worry about their next meal.
